Every generation has its music and that music becomes holy, soulful, and sacred. I do not have words for this, but have felt it, as I know you have too. One of the songs for my generation is “A Whiter Shade of Pale” by Procol Harum. There is a poignant version of the song on “YouTube” where the band plays with The Danish National Orchestra. As I scrolled below the video, I came across this love letter to the song:
“28th September 1983. I danced with the love of my life to this song, just the two of us, 5am, as a night club closed in Mallorca. We were both young and after a year together, we went our own ways for 25 years. Early 2008, and recently divorced, I heard this on the radio so sent her a message through social media. She was recently divorced. We've been together ever since. The power of a single song can last a lifetime.”
