Sharp - Idiosyncratic reactions
Our personal reactions to things can often be hilarious. For example, I cannot stand it when piles of stuff fall over. It makes me want to swear like a sailor. I do not know where this comes from. My sister never pushed over my pile of sweaters and then laughed at me when I cried. But then again I never had a sister. Knowing our idiosyncratic reactions ahead of time can enable us to be cool, calm and collected...unless, of course, the sweater pile falls over.
